DGE Ron & Cindy Sekkel's Travel Log

Century Builders

Monday May 31 - Hakone Open Gardens In The Rain
& A Night Off In Tokyo

Today we left during what seemed like a typhoon. Our first stop was the Hakone Open-Air Museum. At first it seemed a little odd to stop at an open air anything during the middle of a rainstorm. Actually it was not so bad. We were able to wander over the grounds. Two wonderful samples of the art sculptures to be seen are the two pictures shown below.

We then drove to the Hakone Prince hotel were we had lunch and then our busses drove the 3 hour drive to Tokyo were we spend the rest of our time on this tour.

We arrived in Tokyo and we got into our hotel.

The third picture is of Tokyo from the 21st floor of the Sofitel hotel. What a beautiful view.

Free night and off we went to find a noodle shop.

Saying goodbye from the Sofitel Hotel in Tokyo, Japan

See you tomorrow on the web site
